New 'Smart Factory' approach for Ausnutria

ALPMA delivers completely new UF-WPC production line for Heerenveen powder plant

Ausnutria

UF plant designed for automatic startup and production

Lights out manufacturing

The latest edition of Alpma’s News & Trends features the completed UF project at Ausnutria, the new “Smart Factory” approach. For Ausnutria’s impressive new powder plant in Heerenveen, ALPMA realized a completely new UF-WPC production line, for processing goat whey into WPC. Special emphasis was placed on the interconnection of all automated components based on IoT.

Ausnutria is aiming for a “lights-out manufacturing unit” for all its new production facilities, or a largely fully automated process plant.

The heart of the new process is a UF plant designed for automatic startup and production. Regarding sustainability, product loss at the end of production is minimized. Water demand during cleaning is minimized. The turnkey project delivered by ALPMA’s Process Technology Division includes not only the UF plant but also the entire periphery.
