Successful Service on the UF Plant at Ausnutria in Heerenveen

Last month, Ausnutria’s ultrafiltration plant underwent a very comprehensive four-day service by ALPMA’s service team, led by Martin Wagner. Two years ago, ALPMA increased the capacity of Ausnutria’s impressive new powder plant in Heerenveen, located along the A7, by 50% in collaboration with automation partner Batenburg Beenen. This new UF-WPC production line is designed to process almost exclusively goat whey. Because the plant operates 24/7, the service was thoroughly prepared over the past few months by Fedde Wind (Maintenance Engineer) together with Johannes Roschy (Project Manager) and Matthias Wiedner (Service Manager). In addition to replacing the complete set of membranes, the service included inspecting numerous control valves beneath the tanks and installing a booster pump.

Following extensive checks and a software upgrade, the system is once again operating in “lights-out manufacturing” mode (fully automated mode). Product loss at the end of the production process has been minimized by ALPMA’s integrated smartflush module, which delivers significant water savings during cleaning. During a previous shutdown, all of the supplied peripheral equipment underwent the same service. In short, this was a successful service project with added value, characterized by a strong partnership between Ausnutria and ALPMA.
